NEW YORK - FAT Brands, the owner of restaurant chains Fatburger, Johnny Rockets and Twin Peaks, sought bankruptcy after failing to make interest payments due in October on some of its US$1.2 billion (S$1.5 billion) in debt. 

The Beverly Hills-based company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas on Jan 26, court documents show. It listed assets of US$1 billion to US$10 billion, and liabilities in the same range.
