Faye Wong's Ex Trainer Reveals The 5 Foods She Avoids To Stay Looking Young At 57

At 57, Chinese pop diva Faye Wong continues to have people wondering: How does she still look this good?

The famously private star recently made a rare public appearance at the Xiami Music Festival, where she was there to support her elder daughter, singer Leah Dou.

Despite going makeup-free and dressing casually in a T-shirt and shorts, Faye once again drew attention for her youthful looks and svelte figure.

So, what's her secret?

According to Taiwanese reports, celebrity fitness trainer Gu Youming, who previously devised a diet plan for Faye, once revealed five types of food the star has avoided over the years.

Biscuits, even the supposedly healthy ones

Faye reportedly avoids biscuits altogether — yes, even those labelled sugar-free, high-fibre or high-protein.

The reason? Store-bought biscuits can contain hidden fats and sugars, making it easy to consume more calories than you realise.

2. “Low-fat” snacks

Also off the menu are so-called low-fat or diet snacks.

Such processed snacks can contain sugar substitutes, syrups or maltodextrin, which Youming says can add to one's calorie and sugar intake.

Flavoured yogurt

Faye is also said to steer clear of flavoured yogurt, which can contain added flavourings and thickeners.

Instead, she reportedly opts for plain, unsweetened yogurt, adding fruit or nuts herself.

4. Refined bread

Refined bread is another a no-no, particularly sweet breads and soft rolls that tend to be higher in sugar and fat without being particularly filling.

5. Vitamin gummies

Even vitamin gummies didn't make the cut.

According to Youming, some can be high in sugar, while low- or no-sugar versions may contain artificial sweeteners.

He recommends getting nutrients from whole foods instead.

The five foods have one thing in common: they're high in sugar or fat, or are highly processed.

Of course, staying youthful isn't as simple as giving up biscuits and bread.

Faye, who has reportedly been vegetarian for years, is also said to be diligent about skincare, keeping a relaxed mindset and doing low-intensity exercise.
