Brunei’s Prince Abdul Mateen has long been considered one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.

The dashing 32-year-old, who boasts 2.4mil followers on Instagram, is a trained helicopter pilot, a major in the Royal Brunei Air Force, and a pro polo player with two Southeast Asian Games medals under his belt. He is also often seen on diplomatic trips with his father, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, one of the richest men in the world, while looking all debonair and... hot.

Come next January, many will have to find a new golden bachelor to gush over.

It was announced this past weekend that Prince Mateen will tie the knot with Anisha Rosnah Adam in a grand royal ceremony early next year.

According to Brunei media, wedding festivities will commence on Jan 7, and last 10 days. The Islamic solemnization of their marriage will be on Jan 11.

Anisha Rosnah is the granddaughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s special adviser, Pehin Dato’ Haji Isa Ibrahim. Her brother, Danial Deen Isa Kabelic, is said to be close friends with Prince Mateen.

Anisha, who reportedly studied in a renowned English university, is also a successful entrepreneur in her own right. Apart from heading her own fashion brand, Silk Collective, Anisha also runs tourism company Authentirary with a close friend.

Prince Mateen and Anisha both enjoy working out. The latter also likes cooking, and has an IG page where she teaches her followers how to cook.

The couple were seen together at the weddings of two of Prince Mateen’s sisters. Those wedding took place in Jan 2022 and Jan 2023. Prince Mateen and Anisha's upcoming nuptials will mark the Brunei Royal Family’s third January wedding in a row.
