KUALA LUMPUR: Young karate exponent P. Namesha has proven that perseverance pays off even when the temptation to quit looms large.

The 18-year-old Namesha, coached by Malaysian legend Datuk P. Arivalagan, was named Best of the Best Female athlete at the Milo International Open Karate Championships after delivering a stunning double gold performance at Stadium Titiwangsa yesterday.
