PETALING JAYA: Three foreigners were rescued after a four-storey warehouse storing sundry goods here caught fire.

Selangor Fire and Rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress call was received at about 3.05am on Wednesday (July 9).

"A total of 16 firemen from three fire stations were dispatched to the scene.

"We managed to rescue a male Indian national as well as a man and woman from Myanmar," he said in a statement today.

Firemen managed to get the fire under control by 4.04am, he said.

"We managed to put out the fire fully. The fire occurred on the ground floor of the warehouse.

"The victims did not sustain any injury," he added.
