The first supposed sighting of the Loch Ness Monster this year has been reported with photos showing a 'black mass' just under the lake's surface.

The witness at Dores Beach spotted the shape beneath the waters and snapped a photo of 'part of the body' of the legendary Nessie in Scotland. The sighting lasted for several minutes, with the surface of the water on the day offering a clear view of the mysterious occurrence.

Pictures have been reviewed by the Loch Ness Centre, which claimed it is the first potential sighting they have been made aware of this year. Nagina Ishaq, general manager at the centre, said: "We’ve had numerous observations over the years, but this recent sighting has been particularly captivating.
