PAPAR: Police detained five local men during a drug operation in Kinarut on Tuesday.

Papar police chief DSP Batholomew Ak Umpit said the suspects, in their 20s and 30s, were held after their urine tested positive for drug abuse during the operation, dubbed “Ops Ice Breaker”.

“The suspects were taken to the Papar police headquarters and were detained further to be investigated under Section 15(1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said yesterday.
