A Florida man has been arrested for aggravated assault after he pointed a gun at a woman’s head and threatened to kill her because her friend had backed into his driveway, authorities said.

Terry Vetsch, 60, from Palm Coast, was taken into custody Saturday, after his own Nest security camera showed him confronting a woman in the middle of the street and pointing a gun at her.

According to astatement from the Flaggler County Sheriff’s Office and an arrest report obtained by The Post, the victim and her friend driving a white Ford Escape told deputies that Vetsch stormed out of his home on Wood Ash Lane yelling at them while armed with a gun.

Vetsch was apparently upset that the Ford driver had briefly used his driveway to back up his car, which the suspect saw on his security camera.

Vetsch reportedly thought that the man in the car was his neighbor, with whom he had had multiple disputes in the past, but it turned out not to be the case.

The 60-year-old used his gun, a Taurus 9mm Par, to strike the back window on the Ford, screaming at the driver: “Get your piece of s— out of my f—ing driveway!”

The motorist’s female friend, who was standing nearby, then approached Vetsch to confront him, at which time he pointed the gun at her head, as seen in Vetsch’s Nest video.  

When a deputy responded and interviewed Vetsch, he said that he was in his office when he saw the car back into his driveway on his video recording system. He then went into the bedroom, grabbed the gun and headed outside.

According to Vetsch, he pointed the gun at the woman because he said she was walking toward his property while yelling and waving her hands in his face.

The victim told the cops that Vetsch “threatened to shoot and kill her,” and added that she was in fear for her life, according to the court document.

Vetsch was arrested on a felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without an intent to kill and had his bond set at $50,000.

He bonded out of jail the next day and was ordered to have no contact with the victims. Vetsch’s arraignment is scheduled for July 10.

Vetsch’s arrest is the latest in a string of incidents involving trigger-happy homeowners, some of which have resulted in deaths and injuries.

In early May, 58-year-old David Doyle was arrested on aggravated assault and battery charges after he allegedly shot a 14-year-old girl in the back of the head as she played hide-and-seek with friends on his property in Louisiana.

Doyle sought to justify his actions by telling cops that he “observed shadows” outside his home. 

In mid-April, 20-year-old Kaylin Gillis was shot dead by a 65-year-old man in Hebron, New York, after pulling into his driveway while looking for a friend’s house.

Kevin Monahan was charged with second-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty, with his attorney arguing that the victim’s car was speeding and creating “an atmosphere and a fear that there was menace going on.”

Two days earlier, 16-year-old Ralph Yarl, a black honor student from Kansas City, Missouri, was shot in the head by a white homeowner, whose doorbell he mistakenly rang while looking for the house where his brothers were staying.

Andrew Lester, 84, has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
