PETALING JAYA: It was a cruel end to a promising campaign for rising bowling starlet Qurratu’Ain Izdihar Pozi at the World Youth Championships in Kuching yesterday.

The 18-year-old looked destined for a deep run after topping the top-16 qualifying standings with a superb six-game total of 1,290 pins at Megalanes Sarawak to earn the No. 1 seeding for the second round.
