Former Lubok Antu MP William Nyalau dies

KUCHING: Former Lubok Antu member of Parliament Datuk William Nyalau Badak passed away yesterday at the Sarawak Heart Centre in Kota Samarahan. He was 74.
William, who served as a two-term MP from 2008 to 2018, was confirmed to have died from heart complications.
Before entering politics through the Sarawak People's Party (PRS), he had served as a district officer and Native Court judge.
After leaving PRS in April 2018, he joined the United Sarawak Party (PSB) and contested as the party's candidate for the Batang Ai state assembly seat in the 2021 state election. However, he lost to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Datuk Malcolm Mussen Lamoh.
