We agree with the writer that it is important to promote Singapore literature, more affectionately known as SingLit. 

Promoting greater awareness and interest in SingLit continues to be an area of focus for the National Arts Council (NAC). Building a Singapore community through shared experiences is one of NAC’s key priorities under the Our SG Arts Plan (2023-2027). For example, the Singapore Writers Festival is a key national platform for local audiences to engage with literary arts and, in particular, interact with Singaporean writers and their works.
