PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttler Toh Ee Wei had to skip last year’s Denmark Open after receiving 16 stitches following a freak gym accident.

Yesterday, however, the 25-year-old Ee Wei made up for her absence in style by reaching the semi-finals for the first time with Chen Tang Jie at the Jyske Bank Arena in Odense in sheer style.
