A woman who claims to be Freddie Mercury’s daughter is coming forward for the first time in a bombshell new biography.

The woman, who was born in 1976, has spoken out for the first time in a new book, Love, Freddie, written by biographer Lesley-Ann Jones, identifying herself as the secret love child of the Queen frontman for the first time in 48 years.

According to The Sun, Mercury’s alleged daughter was reportedly born as the result of a fling with a close friend’s wife, and her existence was, until now, only ever known by the singer’s bandmates, parents, sister, and his long-term partner Mary Austin.

The daughter, who is only referred to as B in the biography, grew up knowing that Mercury was her father and was raised by a loving family. She was allegedly given 17 volumes of Mercury’s personal journals after he died of pneumonia caused by Aids in 1991. Those journals are now the basis of Jones’ biography which will release later this year.

The biography, which has been seen by the Daily Mail, includes a handwritten letter written by B, which reads: “Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life.”

“He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people’s standards, unusual and even outrageous,” she adds. “That should come as no surprise. It never detracted from his commitment to love and look after me. He cherished me like a treasured possession.”

Throughout his life, Mercury had a number of relationships with men and women but his most well-known was his six-year relationship with Austin. After their split, the pair maintained a close bond until his death at age 45.
