Fugitive arrested after 3 years over pregnant woman's murder in Kelantan

PASIR MAS: A man wanted in connection with the 2022 shooting of a seven-month pregnant woman in Kampung Repek has been arrested after three years on the run.
The 24-year-old man was detained by a team from the General Operations Force (GOF) Battalion 7 in Kampung Bukit Lata at 7pm yesterday.
Pasir Mas police chief Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed said the suspect was arrested alongside another 24-year-old man.
"Police had earlier spotted a suspicious vehicle and subsequently detained the two men. One of them was identified as the suspect linked to the fatal shooting of a pregnant woman in 2022.

"Both men tested positive for methamphetamine in urine tests," he said when contacted.
The suspect, a local resident of Kampung Pak Jak, has been remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation.
The remand order, which runs until next Wednesday, was issued by magistrate Syed Farid Syed Ali.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
In 2022, it was reported that Farrah Emirah Mazlan, 26, who was seven months pregnant, was found dead with a gunshot wound inside a car by the roadside in Kampung Repek. She was discovered in her Nissan Cetiro at about 4pm.
Police later launched a manhunt for the man to assist in the investigation.
