Due to overwhelming demand and concerns over scalping, the organisers of G-Dragon's K-pop concert in KL have cancelled some tickets for the 19 and 20 July shows at Axiata Arena that were linked to scalpers

These tickets are now invalid and won't be accepted for entry. The decision comes after a thorough investigation to ensure all fans get a fair shot at attending the concert.Tickets for the two-night show in Bukit Jalil sold out fast during the general sale on 29 May. This followed pre-sales on 26 and 27 May for G-Dragon's official fan club and Hong Leong Bank cardholders.

But many fans were left frustrated, stuck in frozen virtual queues even after logging in right on time

Under the hashtag #GDRAGONinKL, users accused scalpers of using bots to hoard tickets before real fans had a chance.

Soon after, hundreds of tickets popped up on third-party platforms. One Instagram user even shared a spreadsheet listing 300 tickets for resale — some starting at RM3,000 (well above the official prices):

VVIP – RM1,339

VIP – RM1,239

CAT 1 – RM999

CAT 2 – RM799

CAT 3 – RM459

Some were reportedly priced as high as RM28,000 each.

In response, one of the concert organisers, Star Planet, launched an investigation and confirmed on 30 May that tickets bought through shady means or resold at high prices were being voided

"These tickets have been declared void and will not be granted entry to the event," the organisers said.

To give genuine fans another chance, 254 cancelled tickets will go back on sale on 6 June (Friday) at 2pm, only via BookMyShow.

Organisers TME Live, Star Planet, and TOPTOP emphasised they have no ties to unofficial sellers or third-party platforms. Tickets bought outside the official site may be invalid and are non-refundable.

They will also continue monitoring for scalping and take strict action if it happens again.

Fans are strongly urged to buy only from the official site to avoid getting turned away at the door.
