KUALA LUMPUR: GFM Services Bhd

via subsidiaries in its energy division has secured additional release orders totalling RM83.1mil for major turnaround work packages at the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Johor.

PIC is preparing for its first major turnaround cycle, which involves an extensive range of maintenance, inspection and replacement works across the integrated downstream complex.

GFM, an integrated facilities management (IFM) services provider, said its wholly-owned subsidiary Highbase Strategic Sdn Bhd secured RM16.44mil of the release orders from PETRONAS Chemicals Isononanol Sdn Bhd. 

The remaining RM66.8mil of release orders was secured by 60%-owned indirect subsidiary Shapadu CR Asia Sdn Bhd (SCRA), from Pengerang Refining Company Sdn Bhd (PRC). 

The group said the release orders were secured under its existing integrated Turnaround Main Mechanical and Maintenance Mechanical Static (TA4MS) contract. The works are expected to commence in 2027.

GFM previously announced it had secured RM148.2mil in release orders on July 10, 2026. In total, the group has secured work packages worth RM231.3mil for the upcoming turnaround cycle at PIC.

Apart from Highbase and SCRA, GFM's energy division also includes HIMS Integrated Services Sdn Bhd, a 51%-owned joint venture with Singapore-based oil and gas integrated solutions provider Mun Siong Engineering Limited.
