Anybody else have trouble sleeping?

I’ve always had difficulty sleeping, i usually go to sleep at 5-6am or even not sleep at all when i have a 9am class.

Sometimes after coming back after a long day of not sleeping, i would still sleep at 3am. Then i’d stay up longer as an attempt to fix my sleeping pattern, but that only lasts for 2 days.

I don’t want to self diagnose myself as an insomniac, so i’m just a night owl for now. I know it’s unhealthy to not have a proper sleeping pattern.

I’ve been this way for years now. When i force myself to sleep, i end up just closing my eyes for 3 hours straight, not falling asleep, and then just giving up.

Anyone have this problem as well?

Having trouble falling asleep, or falling asleep at 11pm but waking up in the middle of the night is actually pretty common.

It might be due to stress, or your brain is too active from too much thoughts. I myself usually sleeps at 3-4am and waking up at 8am, it’s becoming more of a habit nowadays.

Some suggestions you can try for a better sleep:

Melatonin candies, aids in sleeping

Exercising after dinner, healthier lifestyle and tires you out

Stop any digital activities 1 hour before your bedtime(insta, tiktok, drama chasing etc.)

Try to have a fixed routine and sleeping at a fixed timing

Reduce caffeine intake throughout the day(?)

Listen to “rain sounds, or soothing music” to doze off

Making a warm cup of lavender or chamomile tea before sleep
