A netizen posted a post online to ask other netizens about their experience on whether using FoodPanda or Grabfood is better.

Here is what he asked

“I, myself have used Foodpanda quite often 3 years back about once or twice a week until I realised that using these food delivery services were a little too expensive hehe. During that time, GrabFood wasn’t as popular and Foodpanda was dominating the market. The thought of not leaving my house to get a freshly cooked meal is just amazing y’know.

I always had this one rule to only pay in notes and no coins. If my total order comes up to somewhere ending between 30-50 cents, I will just add an item to make it somewhere between 80 to 90 cents so I can round it off to 1 dollar and pay in notes.

Also if my orders comes up between like SGD 18-19, I will just round it off to SGD 20 leaving the guy with SGD 1-2 tips. The thought of having the guy collecting my coins with his thick gloves just make me slightly guilty. Also, some of them really appreciated the tips, like I know it’s free money and they are supposed to be happy but something about seeing them smile brightens my day a little.

Nowadays, I have gotten busier due to work and was planning to start using GrabFood for the convenience despite the cost. I wanted to drop Foodpanda since I heard GrabFood offers better services to both riders and customers.

Just wanted to share my food delivery service experience since I’m bored, that’s all.”
