GUY LOST AT NEW JOB BECAUSE THERE’S NO PROPER TRAINING, THEN BOSS CALLS HIM “NOT EFFICIENT”
Singapore Uncensored·2025-02-10 15:02

Started a new job 3 months ago but had no proper training/onboarding as the previous staff in my position left before I started.
Company operations are messy so colleagues didn’t have time to teach me either and most of my probation period was spent just “try luck/aiya do wrong/ok redo” ing things.
To clear the never ending mountains of work I have been putting in hours after work and on weekends.
whenever we need to stay back late and OT I didnt complain and I generally am contactable and answer work questions from colleagues anytime.
On top of this we also moved office so it was weeks of packing (my job scope includes managing like 1 HDB room worth of stocks).
My colleagues did help me out with this but I was most annoyed with the colleagues that conveniently decided things don’t belong to them at this time and just didn’t pack/throw/eat it whatever la.
For reference I am not a super fresh grad, this is my 2nd job and in my first job I stayed for 3+ almost 4 years.
My probation is up today and my review from my supervisor is that I am not efficient/hungry/driven enough. At the rate that I’m going I am only ~40% there.
But she also didn’t have exact steps or like a performance improvement plan so I guess it’s a bullshit review lol.
She also mentioned that if I’m feeling burnt out now at 3 months how am I going to tahan the rest of my working years? Cos feeling burnt out is for myself to manage which I am not cos I’m not “driven”?? What sia
So TLDR – wtf does hungry/driven/efficient even mean ah is it fancy words to make u work harder and what if udw to work harder cos not c0rp0rate4lyfe?? What’s wrong with doing just enough?? Siao ah
