Why do my parents like to criticise every decision i made?
When I wanted to take my degree, my parents criticised and said I’m just wasting money as I’m not a study material. I’m paying for myself fully as well.
When I’m sick and i let them know that I’m on MC, they’ll criticise my work antics and said if they were my employer they would had sacked me as they also go to work being sick.
When I’m burned out from work and took leave to rest at home, they’ll criticise me on wasting my leave and my work antics and my laziness.
When I wanted to start up a small business, they criticise and said I can never make it and don’t waste my time.
Why does it seems like all the decisions I made can never be agreed on or accepted by them? Even when we’re travelling overseas and I knew the directions to a location we are heading to, they disregarded my route and walk their own route which lead to us being lost – then eventually walked back and followed my route.
I really love my family but it’s so tiring. I felt so burned out from work and life. When I need someone to speak to, i turn to them as they’re the only ones i had. But to receive such criticism everytime i spoke to them really made me sad. Sometimes I just wish I never existed.

Every comment has 2 ways to look at. It may seems negative to you. But I choose to think the other way. I like to prove people wrong. It is reverse psychology method that I would feel your parents are doing to you. After all, it’s family, everyone still cares. They know you too well.. hoping reverse psychology can push you.
