Super Mario takes over Jewel! Snap pics, collect stamps, and shop over 500 Nintendo items

Gamers, families, and fans of the Mushroom Kingdom are in for a treat this season at Jewel Changi Airport.

Southeast Asia’s first Mario Kart-themed installations have landed—transforming the lush Forest Valley into a real-life racetrack—and Nintendo’s beloved pop-up store returns with more exclusives than ever before.

Nintendo Pop-Up Store Returns with 150+ New Exclusives

Back by overwhelming demand, the Nintendo pop-up store at Jewel (Level 4) opens its doors from 25 April to 24 July 2025, offering over 500 official Nintendo items—many of which are exclusive to this Singapore location.

This is currently the only Nintendo pop-up store outside Japan, giving local and regional fans rare access to merchandise from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and Pikmin. Among the highlights are:

Plush toys of fan-favourite characters and power-ups

Apparel, bags, and accessories with Nintendo Tokyo branding

A limited-edition commemorative T-shirt featuring Mario, Link, Isabelle, Inkling, and others, specially made for this Jewel event

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a newcomer to Nintendo’s colourful universe, this pop-up is a rare merchandising experience outside Japan.

Race Through the Mario Kart Jewel Circuit Challenge

Beyond the merchandise, Jewel’s indoor rainforest has transformed into a vibrant Mario Kart course with life-sized displays from the Mario Kart 8 universe. The centrepiece, located at the entrance to the Forest Valley, is a 5-metre wide installation of Mario and his karting crew zooming down a rainbow-lit platform—a nod to the iconic Rainbow Road.

Adding to the fun is a 1.3-metre tall Banana, the cheeky obstacle no Mario Kart player can forget. It’s just one of many interactive displays spread across Jewel from Levels 1 to 5, creating an immersive experience for fans and Instagrammers alike.

Stamp Rally & Sticker Collectibles

Visitors can participate in a Mario Kart-themed stamp rally by collecting six unique stamps across the installations. Completing the rally earns you a Mario Kart sticker pack, featuring a blind assortment of characters and power-up icons.

There are 4 characters and 5 power-up items to collect—perfect for fans who enjoy surprises and limited-edition memorabilia.

Try Your Luck at Gachapon Machines

Shoppers spending S$80 in a single receipt (Mastercard users get an extra chance) can redeem tokens to spin Jewel’s Gachapon machines at Level 1 Concierge. Prizes include:

Attraction tickets

Retail discounts

Merchant vouchers

Gift cards

Tokens are also available for purchase via the Changi App at S$6 each.

From 1 to 12 May, snap and post a photo of the Mario Kart installations on social media, follow Jewel on any platform, and show it at Level 1 to claim a free token as part of the Nintendo Photo Challenge.

Whether you’re a lifelong Nintendo fan or just looking for a unique weekend activity, Jewel’s Mario Kart Jewel Circuit Challenge and pop-up store offer a vibrant blend of shopping, gaming nostalgia, and photo-worthy fun.
