Geely-owned DreamSmart to add mobile payments to AI smart glasses

DreamSmart Group, a consumer electronics firm owned by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, plans to add mobile payment functionality to its AI-powered smart glasses.
The feature will be available on the StarV Air2 eyewear starting in the third quarter of 2025, according to Guo Peng, general manager of the company’s extended reality (XR) business unit.
The payment function, developed with Ant International, lets users tap a button on the glasses and confirm payments through voice commands, as shown during a recent product event.
