Genting Highlands' history of deadly bus crashes over 30 years

BENTONG: Over the years, several deadly bus accidents have been reported along the Genting Highlands stretch with the worst reported in 2013 when 37 people died after their bus plunged into a ravine while travelling downhill.

It has nothing to do with the winding turns up or downhill of routes. It heavily depend on the driver you are with, rumours had implore that some drivers are on stimulants to make more trips thru and fro. Unlicensed drivers or drivers with multiple traffic offend records are also roped in to make up the vacancy of drivers shortages. Maintenance wise on the buses....nobody knows. Good luck if you are in one now....

If anyone who has gone up to Genting Highlands would know that the roads is not that terrible. I haven't been there for decades but would think that it should be better. It is usually the condition of the vehicle and the bus drivers. I had been on tour bus before and has seen bus drivers doing all sorts of small actions like slapping the back of his neck to stay awake. This also attributes to fatal bus and heavy vehicle accidents on the Malaysian expressway. [TIRED][COOL]
