George Goh, the man who brought Harvey Norman to Singapore, sets sights on presidency
George Goh, an entrepreneur of several businesses including Harvey Norman, today announced that he will be running for president as eligibility rounds start tomorrow.
Goh, 63, said in a statement that he will be contesting as an independent candidate with no affiliation with any political parties and instead leverages his entrepreneurial experience he built since the age of 16.
Some of his achievements include bringing Australian electronics store Harvey Norman to Singapore, being the chairman of Ossia International, an SGX-listed investment holding company, co-founding the charity Border Mission, and serving as an advisor for the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
