Girl, 12, hurt by knife-wielding man in Sepang house break-in

PETALING JAYA: A 12-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a knife-wielding man during a house burglary in Putra Perdana, Sepang.
Sepang Deputy OCPD Supt G K Shan Gopal said police received a report about the incident from the victim's father at 5.03pm on Thursday (Aug 7).
According to him, the complainant was informed about the incident by his neighbour, reported Sinar Harian.
"The victim sustained injuries to her face, neck, and head before being taken by a neighbour to the hospital for treatment.
"Her condition is now stable and she has not suffered serious injuries,” he said in a statement on Friday (Aug 8).
Supt Shan Gopal said that the suspect, in his 40s, was armed with a knife that was taken from the victim's house.
"The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
"The public is advised not to speculate or spread inaccurate information regarding the case,” he added.
