Girl’s Dad Calls Ian Fang A “Devil”, Doesn’t Mind Doing Jail Time So He Can Beat Ian Up Every Day

The father of the girl, whom Ian Fang, 35, was convicted of having sex with when she was a minor, has called the former Mediacorp actor a “devil” and said that he “wouldn’t mind doing jail time” just so he can "beat [Ian] up every day."

Ian, who committed the offences when the girl was 15, has been sentenced to 40 months’ jail. He will begin serving his sentence on June 16.

The dad told 8world in English: “I wish I could be in the same cell as him, so I can wake up every day and I see his face, I make sure he doesn’t wake up.”

“How sick in his mind can he be. People sick in the hospital, you can’t even leave people alone just to satisfy your needs and you gave her your dirty disease, what kind of man are you? It’s morally wrong.”

According to reports, Ian engaged in sexual activities with the girl on six occasions in June 2024, causing her to have a sexually transmitted infection.

Echoing his wife’s sentiments, the man said Ian’s sentence is too lenient and “unacceptable”.

When his daughter heard the sentence, she asked her mum: “Why was the sentence so light? What if he comes back to harass or take revenge on me after he’s released?”

The family intends to sue Ian for the harm he caused their daughter.

The dad said that when he first found out in August 2024 that Ian was the perpetrator, his immediate reaction was to storm over to the latter’s house and “make him disappear from this world forever” but was restrained by his wife.

“I know where this guy stays… You want to take action on your own when this kind of things happen to your family. But people around me calmed me down and that’s how we filed a police report,” he said.

Everyone else in the family who learned of the situation had a similar reaction, he said, and he had to restrain them as well.

During the interview, a family member texted the couple saying he had arrived at Ian’s residence and was ready to beat him up.

Worried that things might spiral out of control, they called the family member and managed to persuade him to leave.

The dad shared that while his daughter is doing better now, she will be "traumatised for the rest of her life."

“There’s always that 10 per cent back in her head, no matter what she does, she will think of this," he said.

The family has decided to send her abroad to study in the hope that she can start anew.
