A woman watched in horror as her boyfriend accidentally fell to his death from a bridge over the river Thames while they were speaking over video call, the young man's heartbroken family has revealed.

James East, 25, was on a night out in Kingston, London, with girlfriend Arabella Ashfield to celebrate her sister's birthday, when the evening took a tragic turn when he attempted to sit on a walled area of a bridge before falling into the river.
