Global chip crunch to cost automakers 3.8m units in loss production: Fitch

Global semiconductor shortages would cut 3.8 million units in automakers’ production, or 5% of estimated annual sales in 2021, said Fitch Ratings.
The credit rating agency said automotive demand is strong, and manufacturers are prioritising the most lucrative models, helping to offset the impact of lost production on carmakers’ cash flow.
