KUALA LUMPUR: The National Sports Council (NSC) have unveiled new updates to their National Sports Incentive Scheme (Shakam), introducing new categories and revised payout rates to recognise a wider range of achievements on the international stage.

In a move towards greater inclusivity, rewards for the Deaflympics have been aligned with other major global events, offering RM80,000 for gold, RM40,000 for silver and RM20,000 for bronze.
