Governor, chief of customary council pledge to keep peace in Papua

The government has signed a pact with the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the National Police to maintain peace in Papua and West Papua.
The pact, which was signed by representatives from religious, youth and local communities, was officiated on Wednesday. Papua Police chief. Insp. Gen. Rudolf Rodja, Cendrawasih XVII Military Commander Yoshua Sembiring and Papua Governor Lukas Enembe signed the pact as well. TNI commander Air Chief Marshall Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian were also present.
