KUALA LUMPUR: The government has disbursed an immediate RM1,000 emergency financial aid to 112 families affected by yesterday evening's floods in Sungai Kupang and Sungai Tiak, Baling, Kedah.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a statement said he was deeply saddened by the disaster which has so far claimed three lives and has vowed to speed up help for affected victims.
