KUALA LUMPUR: The government has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that whistleblowers receive protection under the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010 (Act 711), provided they report misconduct through the proper legal channels.

In a statement on Facebook, Law and Institutional Reform Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said that the independence of legal institutions remains a priority and that enforcement agencies are responsible for handling reports of wrongdoing.
