Fresh off the back of the Apple Card, Grab has just launched its own numberless card — and it's the first in Asia. Powered by Mastercard, Grab is determined to bring cashless convenience to all, keeping card security its topmost priority.

With the GrabPay Card, you can make purchases at around 53 million merchants worldwide while receiving the most competitive foreign exchange rates, reflected in the app itself. The existing GrabRewards points system will also apply to all purchases you make in-store and online — all the more reason to spend more.

Amidst the worldwide transition from physical cards/cash to fully digitalised payments, Grab's introduction of its physical card (optional) on top of its digital version has come across as an ultimate wildcard move. There's a valid reason. The GrabPay Card enables you to pay at merchants like your beloved mom-and-pop shops, that have yet to jump on the NFC bandwagon.

We know what you're thinking. Digitalised transactions bring along their own Pandora's box of issues. But fret not, GrabPay Card comes with top-notch security features. Being numberless, losing your card is no longer a nightmare. All card details are stored within your Grab app, secured by a six-digit pin and in-app card locking feature, keeping your payments secure.

There's more. Users can look forward to added perks such as: eCommerce protection that covers all lost/damaged goods purchased online and complimentary access to over 1000 airport lounges for up to two registered flights, in the event that your flight is delayed.

The new GrabPay app interface and physical card will be rolled out in phases in Singapore, starting December. Learn more about Grab's numberless movement here.
