SINGAPORE – Much of Greenland is covered by one of the world’s largest ice sheets, up to 3km thick. Yet along its ice-free edges lie some of the planet’s largest deposits of rare earth minerals , a prize that the United States and Europe want to secure to reduce their dependence on China.
