Being rejected by someone you've had a crush on is a feeling that many are familiar with. If overcoming the rejection wasn't already hard enough, the trauma sometimes lingers for much longer. This was the case for Hong Kong heartthrob Keung To, believe it or not. The singer-actor is currently starring in supernatural drama series Sometimes When We Touch. In it, Keung portrays a character named Ma Ying Chen, also nicknamed "French Toast", who develops a crush on Fang Xiao Lo, played by Eugenie Liu. Both French Toast and Xiao Lo are part of club called the Supernatural Sensor Society, which consists of college students interested in supernatural phenomenon. During a recent radio interview, the Mirror member shared that a past traumatic experience with an old high school crush had made it challenging for him to film a particular scene where his character confesses to Liu's Xiao Lo. "I once confessed to a girl but I ended up getting rejected by her and from then on I never did so again," he said. Keung added that this experience was rather traumatic for his younger self. When asked why he thought his crush wasn't interested in him, Keung revealed what she had told him. "Sorry but I'm from the 'Good Looks Club'," was her reply. It was only years later that Keung fully understood that she implied he was not good looking enough for her. However, Keung found that her negative comment had also led to some positive outcomes as he had used it to push himself to lose weight. The 22-year-old used to weigh 90kg when he was in school. "I'm quite thankful to her for saying that," he expressed. The Cantopop singer also provided an advice for fans: "In life, you will run into some negative encounters but it will definitely be beneficial for your future."
