Something has been bothering me. My husband has recently gotten a car. But he did not initiate to drive me home at all. Not even once.

What he has been emphasizing is the fact that petrol is expensive and he does not want to travel far. I would appreciate it if he could at least offer me a ride home from work once.

Not that I would want him to fetch me daily but just the effort that counts. Would really hope that he could at least offer me a ride home once.

I have been seeing other husbands initiate to drive their wives home although not daily but at least once before.

So just sort of feeling a bit down wondering if it that I’m not worth his effort to at least drive me home once from work.

You should cook dinner for yourself only, not for him, and tell him that food costs are going up. Similarly when doing the laundry, let him do his own, because cost of labour isn’t cheap. You get the idea….

I think you should encourage your husband to sell away his car when he can’t afford petrol for his own car. Nowadays having a car is a liability, unless he is financially able to own a car, if not what is the point of having one? And if he isn’t using the car for you and your family, I wonder what he use his car for?

U r his wife, then u initiate by requesting him to pick u up lah. Why keep quiet and then allow yourself to feel unhappy over it? If he still complain abt costly petrol after your request and reject u, then i would feel something isn’t right. Shld he reject u, then u shld qns him why did he even bother buying a car?
