Taiwanese singer Harlem Yu received a series of birthday well-wishes from his son, Harrison Yu, on his 60th birthday (28 July), refuting claims that the father and son are on bad terms.
Sharing a photo of him hanging off Yu’s back, his son Harrison captioned the Instagram story with “Happy Birthday Dad, daddy’s day.” Another photo showed the father and son celebrating Yu’s 59th birthday in 2020, captioning it with “a year ago today, love you.” Harrison, who is Yu’s son with ex-wife Annie Yi, is based in the States.

For his 59th birthday last year, Yu had also received a handpainted painting from his son featuring a boy and a lion. Titling the painting “Leo’s boy”, Yu shared a photo of him with the painting with his Weibo followers, captioning it, “A gift from my eldest. I think it’s the best, and I really love it!”

Furthermore, instead of throwing a big party to celebrate his 60th birthday, Yu had also donated over 15,000 mango popsicles to Changhua and Kaohsiung’s police stations. Showing photos of the cartons of popsicles being delivered, Yu captioned his post with: “Everyone worked hard! Thankful to have you!”
