K-pop group EXO recently wrapped up the Manila leg of their EXhOrizon concert tour, marking the group's long-awaited return to the Philippines after seven years. While the two-night show gave fans plenty of unforgettable moments, there was one unexpected moment that ended up stealing the show.

As the members gathered between sets to chat with the excited crowd, EXO's rapper, Chanyeol, 33, noticed that one of the teleprompters facing the stage had stopped working.

While most performers would have simply waited for the issue to be fixed or moved closer to another screen, Chanyeol immediately sprang into action. Stepping onto the narrow platform in front of the stage, he tried to fix the teleprompter himself.

Clips from the night showed Chanyeol lifting the entire monitor, tilting it to one side and inspecting the cables at the back in a clear attempt to figure out what had gone wrong. He then carefully placed the hefty screen back where it belonged.

Despite his best efforts, however, the teleprompter did not appear to spring back to life.

He was later also spotted grabbing a leaf blower to clear confetti off the stage himself, making sure the stage wouldn't become slippery for his fellow members.

The clips quickly went viral, with fans praising Chanyeol for being so thoughtful and hands-on, affectionately dubbing him the group's "stage repairman".

As it turns out, the nickname wasn't inspired by this incident alone. During earlier stops on the tour, including Seoul and Macau, Chanyeol was also caught fixing stage fixtures that had come loose.

In one clip, he casually slotted a fallen LED strip back into place while perched on a set of stage steps. In another, he was seen reattaching a fluorescent tube light along the edge of the stage while interacting with fans mid-song.

The repeated moments had fans gushing over just how reliable Chanyeol seemed, with some joking that his love language must be acts of service.

One fan even quipped: “Chanyeol, what was the actual reason you joined EXO?”

Others teased that he had started moonlighting as the group’s “stage technician”, and even crowned him “the first blue-collar idol”.

“At this rate, he'll be building the stadium next,” commented another netizen.

Well, if anything goes wrong on stage next time, it’s safe to say that fans now know exactly who to call.
