Making a list of the Top 10 movies of the 21st century is hard, for those who work in movies and those who love watching them. It requires pitting very different films against each other — comedies against dramas, period pieces against fantasy films — in ways that don’t always seem fair.

Here’s your chance to do things a different way. Why compare Meryl Streep to Denzel Washington when you can compare Meryl Streep to Meryl Streep? Why make one list, when you can make many?

Here’s how it works: For any category — horror movies, Meryl Streep films, etc. — we’ll provide you with a pair of movies. All you have to do is pick which one you think is better, after which we’ll show you two more. Once you make 10 choices, we’ll reveal the current results, based on the votes of all Times readers.
