Her Golden Horse Best Actress Speech Was Deemed Politically Sensitive
It was big night for Chinese star Fan Bingbing at the Golden Horse Awards last Saturday (Nov 22), The 44-year-old clinched Best Actress for her role as a farmer-healer in Malaysian movie Mother Bhumi.
Though Bingbing was the hot favourite, she did not attend the ceremony in Taipei and instead delivered her acceptance speech over the phone.
The win marks Bingbing’s second Golden Horse following her Best Supporting Actress victory for The Matrimony in 2007. She was last nominated for Best Actress in 2016 for I Am Not Madame Bovary.

PRCs are just Mules for the CCP!!! Speak also have severe consequences! What a pathetic way of life being a PRC! They think Patriotism in every aspect of their lives! What a sickening & pathetic thinking in this modern era! One can be critical BUT STUPIDITY and BRAINLESS is really PRCs forte! Little things they will make it into a mountain! CCP controls in such a way when parents quarrel they’ll tell their stupid children don’t friend the other side! Wrong also quarrel until right culture!
