High Court awards RM7.4mil to youth over medical negligence

KUALA LUMPUR: A 22-year-old has been awarded RM7.4mil in damages after winning a suit against a government hospital and its doctors for medical negligence, which led his left hand and right leg to be amputated five years ago.
High Court judge Datuk Su Tiang Joo on Monday (Nov 3) awarded K. Vimal Raj RM6.4mil, with the bulk of the sum for the purchase of robotic arms and a leg.
