A mum with asthma has revealed that she and her disabled son were forced to move into a ‘mould-infested’ flat or they’d be homeless.

The mum, who lives in Leicester, told LeicestershireLivehow she and her son were provided with a property covered in mould and told by the city council to accept the temporary accommodation or face being made homeless. Zainab Blake said that she was told to combat the mould by wiping down the walls of the property based in Glenfield, despite telling council officials that the mould posed a risk to her’ and her son’s health.
