They should put on gas detector on their bodies and enough artificial ventilation to be installed into any manhole before the risk of work to be carried out

I believe there is a standard sop to follow before allowing staffs to enter manhole

It is certainly heartbreaking to have two sewer maintenence worker's lives be brutally cut short in this horrific manner. Hopefully, further investigation into the matter will afford the deceased families, friends and relatives some closure for the unspeakable horrific tragedy.
