Reese Witherspooncordially invited her niece to a day on set. 

And Abby James Witherspoonwas happy to bring fans along. After all, as the Loyola University film production student shadowed her aunt during filming, she gave a glimpse into the outing. 

"I always love learning from professionals, especially when it's my Aunt Reese," the 19-year-old explained in a June 16 video shared to Reese's Instagram. "I also loved learning from not only my aunt, but also the amazing crew of women that she surrounds herself with."

Abby—the eldest daughter of Reese's brother John Witherspoon—shared clips of the Legally Blonde alum getting her hair and makeup touched up between filming, her aunt's dog running around and crew working through the day.

"We even celebrated a producer's birthday with cupcakes," she explained with the dessert in hand. "It's one of the best parts about being on set, you will never go hungry, and sometimes, flowers and dogs. I had such a great day. Thanks, Aunt Reese!"

While Abby has proven that Reese has been a major inspiration in her life, the feeling is seemingly mutual. Indeed, the Big Little Lies actress revealed that Abby and her younger sister Draper Witherspoon, partly inspired the launch of her brand Hello Sunshine's Gen Z sister label Sunnie.

"It's been a dream of mine to build a space where young women can be the truest version of themselves," Reese said of the new platform—which will be targeted towards Gen Z women—in a statement. "We've discovered that young women are not defined by doom and gloom as they're often portrayed in media—they're complex, creative individuals with incredible agency."

For Reese—who is mom to Ava Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Phillippe, 21, with ex Ryan Phillippe and Tennessee Toth, 12 with ex Jim Toth—the inspiration for her business came after reading scripts that she felt were "incredibly demoralizing and somewhat even borderline and misogynistic."

"I remember reading this particularly bad one that was just about some goopy guy joking about his girlfriend's boobs or something," she told the audience at Cannes Lions June 18, per Variety. "I called my agent and I said, Well, this is awful. I mean, I don't want to see this. I don't want my daughter to see this. I'm not going to be part of the conversation casting in this."

"My agent said to me, every actress in Hollywood wants this part," the Oscar winner continued. "It was such an eye-opening moment for me that I realized when women are not part of the creation from the inception of the script and the filmmakers who shape the stories and ideas, literally, the stories do not serve them or reflect their realities."
