Huawei Cloud, the cloud arm of China’s Huawei, said on September 21 that it upgraded CodeArts, its code intelligence agent for HarmonyOS developers.

The update adds three capabilities: the HarmonyOS Coding Large Model, the CodeArts HarmonyOS Intelligent Agent, and the HarmonyOS Developer Practice Center.

Huawei Cloud said the new features were built for the HarmonyOS ecosystem. It also described CodeArts as the world’s first and only AI coding agent for HarmonyOS.

The update comes as Chinese cloud providers expand AI tools for software developers, with Alibaba Cloud offering Lingma, and Tencent offering CodeBuddy.
