The Huawei Nova Y90 is a blend of old and new in terms of its design. It has the "Star Ring" rear camera type once exclusive to the Mate series; then again, none of those high-end phablets have had flat edges to date, which exhibit a top-mounted headphone jack as well as a USB type-C port.It is rated for pretty fast 40W SuperCharge technology for its generous 5,000mAh battery. Those specs go well with the Nova Y90's f/1.8 and "High-Res" 50MP main camera (although its other 2 rear shooters are 2MP macro and depth lenses). Then again, the Nova Y90 is 5G-less - albeit more on purpose this time, thanks to a Snapdragon 680 SoC. It drives a display that, while 90Hz, is also FHD+ and LCD. The panel is what Huawei describes as one of its "Edgeless FullView" screens, which translates to minimal enough bezels on 3 sides only. Its contents are based on EMUI 12, which might be based on Android, although of which version is never mentioned on Huawei's new product page. The OEM claims that it prioritizes the user's privacy (although its security patch level is unknown) and supports the Distributed File System, the better to connect and work with first-party products such as MateBooks or MatePads. Therefore, the Nova Y90 might stand a chance of competing on the open market - should Huawei get it right when it comes to a price reveal for its single 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage SKU, that is. On that note, the lack of HarmonyOS might imply the announcement of a global release at the same juncture.Buy the Huawei Watch Fit on Amazon
