I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Abbie Chatfield was bitten by a snake during a horror trial on the Australian version of the show.

The former Bachelor star was attacked during a shocking moment on the reality series, leaving some viewers struggling to watch.

Abbie was left screaming in pain after the reptile wrapped its jaw around her hand, with the reality star shouting: ‘It’s biting me! It’s biting me!’

She had to be comforted by host Dr Chris Brown as the show’s animal handler tried desperately to remove it from her.

Dr Chris tried to reassure her, saying: ‘It’s okay, Abbie – just keep calm, it’s okay. Hold my hand.’

It came after Abbie was told to put her hand inside a box in a bid to find stars and win meals for camp during the trial.

The snakes used on the show are not thought to be venomous, but Abbie was left visibly shocked after the incident.

Amazingly, Abbie didn’t give up after being bitten, with the 25-year-old deciding to give the trail another go shortly afterwards.
