I’m a resident writer on the BuzzFeed Shopping team covering a variety of topics in a fun and mindful way, including travel, home, beauty, gift guides, and anything that’ll add just a bit of whimsy into people’s lives.

1. Buf-Puf's facial sponge for a gentle exfoliation that'll send all those dead bits of rough, dry skin dulling your complexion running out the door. Simply pair it with your fave cleanser, and it'll help draw out dirt, makeup, and oil — leaving your skin feeling SO soft and ready for the rest of your routine (seriously, your products and makeup will apply *beautifully* after)! Even reviewers with sensitive skin swear by it, saying it truly helped reduce texture and breakouts.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "I used this product years ago and had the most amazing skin, but I assumed it was mostly genetics. Now that my skin is showing signs of aging, I decided to give it another try — and I’m so glad I did. My skin is transforming daily. They say your skin can rebuild itself, and it really does — especially when you remove the buildup of dead skin cells. I’ve been using it morning and night, and I genuinely look younger. My skin feels polished, my pores are noticeably smaller, and I need much less makeup. Such a fantastic product — highly recommend!" —Sweet Caroline

Get it from Amazon for $11.83.

2. Some minty teeth-whitening penscapable of bringing a little bit of sparkle ✨  to your pearly whites if toothpaste and mouthwash alone aren't giving you the dazzling white you want. The narrow tip design makes it easier to really get in the grooves of your teeth (unlike Crest Whitestrips, which can slip and slide and hit your wallet a little harder). Also, they're sensitive-friendly with quick results!

www.amazon.com

Promising reviews: "I have only used the two original pens that I purchased and can already see an improvement. I am older than 60 and drink coffee daily and red wine weekly." —vicki houska

"I have extremely sensitive teeth from over-whitening in high school but this product has been such a lifesaver! I am a daily black coffee and red wine [drinker] so my teeth have taken a toll as far as staining goes. Seriously, I was very hesitant on getting this because of how sensitive my teeth are but I wish I got it sooner! This is such a great product!" —Mimi Doherty

3. A Squatty Potty so you can stop spending so much time sitting on the toilet just waiting for something to happen. This'll lift your feet up into the doctor-recommended 35-degree angle that opens up your ~puborectalis muscle~, which helps reduce strain! If you've considered over-the-counter remedies for your constipation but worry about how harsh they are, this is a much gentler, lower-risk option.

Promising review: "You need a Squatty Potty. Let me rephrase that, you and the rest of the world NEEDS a Squatty Potty. Because let’s face it, who wants to be hunched over a toilet for 30 minutes to an hour, staring into their phone or reading miscellaneous shampoo bottles while waiting for their butt load to finally drop? NOT I, POPEYE. Not I. That’s why I changed my life by getting a Squatty Potty almost three years ago. Why am I writing a review now one might ask? Because dear reader, I’ve been too busy living life outside of the bathroom walls! Pooping takes no time at all now! Let’s face it, our ancestors had been squatting for eons. So what are we doing sitting all high and mighty on a porcelain throne with our legs dangling? We are designed to squat for optimal elimination. No this isn’t some gag product, or something you should skip out on. This is literally the best way to poop. I can really tell the difference when I’m not using one, and it’s not pleasant. You owe it to yourself to have the best poops of your life. SO TREAT YO SELF to this Squatty Potty. Step your 💩 game up!" —LesLeaLuvShopping

Get it from Amazon for $24.99+ (available in two colors and as a two-pack). And if you don't want it clashing with your decor, check out the acrylic style for $79.99.

Promising reviews: "I am obsessed with these! As someone who suffers from frequent nausea, these are a lifesaver. I always bring one in my purse on any long car rides, plane travel, etc. I even keep one at my desk. This is my go to for nausea and it works pretty much immediately. I have recommended it to many people now who love it too. It’s easy to use and super small so easy to put in your pocket and have whenever you need it. Love that it is made with natural ingredients as well." —Heather

"Took this on my first cruise. Anytime that I started to feel woozy I’d reach for it. I’m sure the required act of deep breathing helped a lot — and breathing in the fragrance of the essential oil is very calming and effective. Worked for me! Wonderful!" —Willy&Lilly

5. Medicube's "Zero Pore" Pads, beloved for the way they help reduce the look of pores, lessen sebum production,*and* improve skin texture. These AHA and BHA-infused pads are double-sided, so you can choose whether you want to add some physical exfoliation with the textured side or just pat in the formula with the smooth one. Side note: they're also #2 in Amazon's "Beauty and Personal Care" section right now, so they must be doing something right.

www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

Promising review: "I debated buying these for sooo long because I was worried all the TikTok reviews were over-exaggerated or fake. I’ve fallen for that before. But after months of trying different products, hoping they’d get rid of my stubborn bumps/clogged pores to no avail, I figured I didn’t have much to lose. No joke, I started seeing results after a couple of uses. Every time I use them, I wake up with the softest, glowiest, 'glass' skin I’ve been dying to achieve. I was skeptical at first use because they felt so gentle, but I was also relieved there wasn’t any stinging sensation on my very sensitive skin. I couldn’t be happier with the results. For reference, I have sensitive, combo skin and my main concerns were textured forehead, closed comedones/clogged pores." —Marissa S

Get a pack of 70 from Amazon for $18.90 (also available in five other formulas).

6. A nail fungus pen with 25% undecylenic acid, which is meant to help heal discolored, damaged, and thickened nails caused by fungal infections. The pen design makes it easier to target problem areas on your hands and toes without leaving behind a mess, so it won't feel like such a hassle to reapply twice a day. Reviewers mention this is a "trust the process" kind of solution, but the results are SO worth it — especially since it has helped when other products haven't!

www.amazon.com

Promising review (for photos above): "Ok so long story short I should not do my own fake nails :/ Turns out my nails are not a fan and are prone to getting gross. This product worked AMAZING. It is not fast because you have to let the old gross nail grow off and that just takes time, BUT it does stop the spread and you can (with patience) grow off the gunk. I am hopeful that in another month my nails will be more or less [back to how they were]. I am sure my nail beds themselves will take a bit longer as the fungus caused my nails to separate from the nail beds, but that is fine. I am just glad this ick is clearing up and going away!! HIGHLY recommend. I actually think I will just keep this on hand and treat my nails with it after I use lotion, or polish or dig in the dirt to garden for safety. No one wants to go through this twice." —NatalieMCC

Get a pack of four from Amazon for $22.13 (available in packs of two, three, and in a kit with nail tools).

7. Secret's Whole Body Cooling Deodorant Mist that'll feel like a treat on those hot, sticky days. Not only can this aluminum-free formula fight off odor for up to 24 hours, but it also creates a delightfully cooling sensation as it hits your skin! You can spray it on your neck, chest, feet and anywhere else you need some sweet, sweet relief.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "I was skeptical after I sprayed this on my arm in a nice air-conditioned house. It smelled lovely, and a quick sting of mint hit my skin. I was very underwhelmed. It has been a warm day, and I took this outside since I knew I would be sweaty and warm. I sprayed this on my 'underboob' per package instructions. Holy wintery coolness! It’s been 10 minutes, and I’m still feeling the chill. Apparently, it works REALLY well if you’re sweating. It dries almost instantly, and I’m a tingly fresh still." —Michelle

Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in mint or lavender and in a two-pack).

8. A Dripstick, aka a post-sex sponge that'll help with the (not as fun) aftermath. Reviewers swear by these for super easy, mess-free cleanup: Simply insert, gently twist, throw it out, and say buh-bye to untimely leaks ruining your favorite pair of undies.

It also works great for gym bags and garbage cans!

www.amazon.com

I used to get embarrassed taking off my flats in my office because they smelled so bad, but not anymore! My work flats make my feet sweaty, and this spray helps keep the awful odors away at least four to five days (probably longer, but I was so excited I just sprayed my shoes again because I liked the smell haha!) The lemon is strong, and the eucalyptus I love, so I would purchase again! Although it will likely last a while! I have a little boy who gets sweaty feet also, so I’m sure I’ll soon be using this in his shoes also." —Traeannah Brown

10. A tonsil stone remover because, surprise (!!), even if you're brushing your teeth, flossing, tongue scraping, AND swishing mouthwash, you may still have bad breath thanks to these calcified bits. This kit includes everything you need to evict them from your body, including an LED handle to light your way and a syringe to flush everything out. Human bodies are so fun, huh?

Amazon, www.amazon.com

As with all medical-related products, you may want to give your doctor a call before using this.

Promising review: "I'm in my early thirties and just started getting tonsil stones. Until a few months ago, I never even knew what these things were! I've been struggling with cotton swabs to fully remove the stones but couldn't get rid of them and they would just come back within the week. I received this and OMFG...best investment ever. No struggle holding my phone as a flashlight while awkwardly posing myself in front of my badly lit bathroom mirror. I sat comfortably at my vanity, used one hand, and removed the whole stone in less than a minute. Why did I not know this was a thing? Why have I been struggling? Get it! Stop struggling, suffering, and awkwardly dealing with this ridiculous condition...trust me." —Wren

To use, use gentle, stroking motions in an upward direction following lymphatic pathways.

Promising review: "I have been astounded by how nicely this has helped with drainage. My entire adult life I have woken with a puffy face and a thick feeling in my throat that lasts for hours as I sip a hot beverage and clear my throat like I'm starting a cold engine.... Since starting to use this brush, I sip water while I brush and by the time I'm done, so is that thick pleghmy feeling! My skin is visibly lifted and the bristles are so soft it almost feels like a massage. The handle is sturdy and I'm very pleased with the quality considering the reasonable price.

I tried it on my husband so he could feel the softness and you could definitely see the difference from one cheek to the other 😆" —Heather O'Sullivan

It's made with a combo of essential oils that can soothe and nourish the skin, vitamin C to help brighten, and beeswax, which can create a layer of defense (super useful before a workout!). Reviewers say it's worked *so* quickly on persistent skin conditions when nothing else would.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "I ordered this balm on a whim as a remedy for a skin rash, and was very impressed with its effectiveness! After getting rid of my rash, I decided to try it elsewhere and it worked wonders on dry skin areas like elbows, knees, and feet. I was blown away with how I changed my feet entirely! As a dancer, my feet have always been a war zone: dry skin, callouses, ingrown toenails, and athlete's foot (all frequent problems over the course of many years). I was always embarrassed to wear sandals or any type of shoes that would show off parts of my feet because of all the dry skin, but sometimes it couldn't be avoided. This balm has made my feet the loveliest they have been and now I can choose any type of shoes I want to wear without embarrassment." —anengstrom

13. A neck and shoulder relaxer if hunching over your desk for eight hours a day in a position that could only be described as "🦐" is starting to take its toll. This ergonomic foam gives your neck the space to stretch out, which can help relax your spine and provide maaajor tension relief. Folks swear by it for helping reduce shoulder pain, stiff neck, or even just being the perfect 10-minute break during a study sesh.

For this, instead of like a regular pillow, you're supposed to lie on it in 10-minute intervals; the seller suggests working your way up to it by starting yourself off at five minutes at a time, with a one- to three-day adjustment period before regular use.

Promising review: "This neck relaxer is so easy to use! It took a few times to get used to, but it is not uncomfortable and is very much helpful with my chronic neck pain and shoulder tension. 14. A tiny toenail brace designed to help lessen the curve of ingrown nails growing all wonky. Just adhere the tiny strip to the top of your trouble toenail, and it'll do all the work of straightening it out for you! This comes with a kit containing 10 toenail braces and tools for application. Each brace lasts 3–6 weeks.

Promising review: "I used to be in sports all through middle and high school, and it really messed up my left foot overall, especially my big toe. I was always embarrassed by my big toe during the summer that I’d put a bandage over it to make it seem like it was injured. Finding someone to fix your toe is expensive, and I don’t have that kind of money at the moment. Started doing research on ways to do so, and this one was the best way. It does take some practice, but once attached, it should not move. Your toes will hurt for a day. Like a dense pain. Not sharp. I saw a difference in about two weeks. I’m a month in on the most severe toe, and no more ingrown toenail!" —Sandra L.

Get it from Amazon for $44.99.

15. An Anua pore-clearing cleansing oil — if you haven't jumped on the double-cleansing train, it may be time to see why practically everyone on the internet swears it totally transformed their skin. Check out aTikTok of the Anua cleansing oilin action.

I've tried out a couple of cleansing oils as an acne-prone, oily skin gal, and this is the one that earned its permanent place in my routine! Some have caused my skin to break out, and others have been too thick, but this one is the *perfect* consistency to actually get in my pores and draw out the gunk lurking in there. The first time I used it, I massaged it into my nose for a few minutes and got those bits on my fingers like the reviewer above (which is SO satisfying), and though it's not like that every time, it has truly helped with the size of my pores and leaves my skin feeling so soft, hydrated, and free of any makeup (ready to be followed up by a cleanser)! And when I've ever dared to doubt its power (when I ran out, or was lazy and skipped the step), I definitely saw the difference in my skin's texture — so it's here to stay for me!

"I can't live without this cleansing oil; it's magic in a bottle. This is the only thing that's been able to clear the sebaceous filaments on my nose after consistent use daily!! 16. LilyAna Naturals firming eye cream with a lightweight formula that absorbs quickly into the skin *without* the eye-burning (and $$$) found in so many others. It's got a combo of ingredients like vitamin C and E to help even out skin tone and dark circles, and can help de-puff eyes after you've been up all night on a YouTube deep dive.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "This is the second review I’ve done on Amazon. I rarely go out of my way to write a review unless I’m truly amazed by the product. I have terrible sunken-in eyes (due to genetics) that can’t really be fixed without fillers (which I’d never do). No matter how much sleep I get, I have bad dark circles, so I decided that I had to invest in an eye cream. I’m so glad I did! I used a cheap drug store eye cream that really only made it look like I had water under my eyes and it did nothing else. This eye cream is so hydrating and smooth! It really evens out my skin tone and wakes up my face in the morning! I feel so refreshed and dare I say...prettier. It’s boosted my confidence a ton. I’m so happy with this product!" —casie ackerman

I often wake up and shower before my kids are up, throw on some moisturizer and sunscreen, do my hair, start errands or school drops off, then put on some makeup later in the morning. This makes me look alive and put together and like less of a tired mom! Better than any concealer I’ve ever used. Brightening without being cake-y, illuminating without being tacky and sparkly. Promising review: "All that was inside my ears…. oh my god. I feel like a new man. I had a hard time hearing and really bad ringing in my ears forever, but flushing my ears out with these drops revealed why. I’m still in shock from how it felt to have and see all that leaving my ear canals, but I’m so glad I got these. $8 to help your hearing… don’t worry if you don’t see results until the fourth day. I thought most of it was out by then cause there was a minor amount of wax leaving my ears, but today, the last day, I realized there was so much more. It was really freaky but now I’m listening to Kid A by Radiohead and it’s like hearing it for the first time. Everything is truly in its right place." —Gabriel

Promising review: "THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. Super easy to apply. I have fine, curly hair, and it leaves my hair glossy and soft without weighing it down. Works better than any Moroccan Oil, L'Oréal, or Briogeo product I've used and is wayyyyy cheaper. Gifted a bottle to a friend with very thick, curly hair, and they said it works amazingly on them, too. Just do it once a week, and you're set!" —Mid-west

Promising reviews: "Legit magic in a bottle. Wish I could order this stuff by the gallon. Took a chance on this because I was desperate, having already spent so much money on luxury and drugstore products with little results. I use this as a pre-treatment on scalp and ends before I wash hair. Scalp has improved dramatically. I feel like there’s not as much breakage/fallout, and my ends are fuller. (This is after like six months, but my scalp was better immediately.)" —Claire Blanchard

"I hardly write reviews.. but this one deserves to be written about!! My hair was falling out a LOT, and somehow just with the FIRST application onwards, I started seeing less fall. And now, after four months, I can see hair growth as well, and my hair is already looking thicker!! And I’ve been using it only once a week.. just a few drops and massaging in. Omg, how can anything be so simple and yet so effective!!! Amazing! Amazing!!! Whoever invented this.. hats off!!" —Dee

Promising review: "What is this sorcery? Okay, so I’m not gonna lie. I thought all of the before-and-after pics were fake, but I was desperate, so I bought this stuff anyway. I had been dealing with an irritation bump for almost three months that I couldn’t get rid of, so I did some research and tried a variety of home remedies, none of which worked. Then I stumbled upon the Briotech spray and saw the before and after pictures and wanted soooo badly to believe them. I also didn’t want to get my hopes up, so I wrote them off as fake. I bought this stuff anyway (again, I was desperate) and I’m SO glad I did. I bought it on Sept. 5th, and my bump (which was huge and awful) was completely gone on Sept. 25th. I’m still in shock that it worked, but I’m so happy it did. Buy this! Stick with it, and I promise you won’t regret it!" —iamericadelaney

Promising review: "Since starting, my bladder control has significantly improved. I am now able to sneeze or cough without peeing myself. Yes, that's right. I am able to hold my pee longer, which means I can actually make it to the bathroom without dribbling on myself. The best part is that just a few short weeks into the program, you will have results you can feel. I think every woman who has ever had kids should try this out. The overall quality of my life has improved. Ditch your panty liners, stop the embarrassing dribbles, and no more mad dashes to the restroom because of a weak bladder. Even my sex life has improved; I have control of those pelvic muscles now. Just remember to wash the weights before and after each use with an antibacterial spray, and allow time to air dry before putting them away. I say air dry because if you wipe them dry with a cloth, you run the risk of giving yourself a bladder infection or urinary tract infection, and those are no laughing matter. Easy to use, easy to clean, stores away quickly." —Lady Tauber

31. A pack of Schick dermaplaning razors because who has time to pluck out every itty bitty 'stache hair, or the strength to wax it all off...? The blades have a precision cover that'll help you seamlessly shave off peach fuzz without accidentally taking a chunk of eyebrow with it — and the gentle exfoliation it provides can help your products apply more smoothly afterward, too!

www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

Promising review: "My cheeks, neck, forehead, and chin are covered in a fine ever-growing peach fuzz. If I cease shaving, I shall acquire a boat and thus forth be dubbed blonde beard. My mustache is darker and thicker, something I think a lot of women experience. I have been shaving for a while with a men's razor and shaving cream but it just couldn't give me a close enough shave. ENTER SCHICK SILK TOUCH-UP! Holy wow! I've been dry shaving my entire face and some of my neck with these and no irritation, plus it is the closest shave I have gotten. No pulling or scraping like other 'mini razors.' It's quicker than doing what I call a 'dad shave' in the shower, and I can see what I'm shaving because I'm at my makeup table and there's no shaving cream obstructing my view (I don't want to accidentally hack off the hair by my ears or forehead). Plus, I compared this to other (what I call) mini razors and it's twice the size. So very efficient for doing your whole face, easy for detailing those brows. I love this product and hope that they sell it forever. It works on my peach fuzz, mustache, and brows. If I ever get word that they are going to stop making them, I will hoard them all." —Dr. Eleanor Abernathy

I have some moderate to major dental issues, specifically "dead" teeth. It is what it is, I've been working on getting it fixed, but my breath is not the best because of this issue. BuzzFeed Shopping writer Emma Lord uses these: "I've had one of these for awhile, and I love it! I usually use an electric toothbrush, but I feel like I'm getting a much more satisfying clean from these?? Especially because I tend to get yellow stains between my teeth no matter *how* much I floss, and these bristles seem to actually target that a lot more effectively. I've switched to using this in the morning and the electric one at night and definitely see a difference in that area in particular."

Promising review: "This was another one of my TikTok purchases! I was skeptical but my kids hate flossing their teeth so thought this might help in between making them floss. They work amazing! My kids said they could see and feel a difference on the first use and I agree! They are definitely worth a try! I would suggest not pushing too hard, those tiny bristles really get in there and if you push too hard you nights be sore like I was. It felt like after going to a dental cleaning." —Amy N.
