I Try A Ridiculous Amount Of Beauty Products, And These 14 Are My Absolute Favourites This Month

BuzzFeed-Shopping·2025-08-20 05:04

As someone who is constantly testing the latest beauty launches, trust me when I say that it takes a lot for a product to stand out to me.

So, when I find myself reaching for something over and over again, I recommend it to you guys, because I really do think that you will love it, too.

Here are the 14 products that I genuinely can't get enough of this month:

Skincare:

1. Paddington x Dr.PAWPAW Lip Balm, from £3.99

BuzzFeed

This is not a drill: Dr. PAWPAW has joined forces with Paddington Bear for a limited edition lip care range, and it’s every bit as adorable as you’d imagine.

Prices start at just £3.99 for single lip balm, but the real star of the show is the Travel Set (£14.99), which includes the full collection packaged inside a quaint Paddington-approved suitcase.

If you’re wondering, the brand new, limited edition flavours are Hot Chocolate, Strawberry Jam, and, of course, Orange Marmalade, and while the latter is mine (and probably Paddington’s) personal favourite, each balm genuinely smells good enough to eat, and is powered by Dr. PAWPAW’s signature blend of castor oil, olive oil, papaya, and aloe vera to nourish and hydrate your lips.

The Travel Set also contains the brand’s cult-favourite original lip balm, and the component for all four of the products is adorned with a beautiful Paddington illustration.

2. CurÉl Skin Balancing Care Oil Control Weightless Gel Moisturiser, £17.50, and Deep Moisture Spray, £19.50

BuzzFeed

As an oily-skin girlie, I’ve tried a whole load of products that promise to tackle shine — and I can confirm CurÉl’s budget-friendly Oil Control Moisturiser genuinely holds its own against some of the pricier brands I’ve put to the test over the years.

In fact, I used it in my pre-makeup skincare routine and couldn’t have been more impressed by the results; my T-zone remained noticeably less shiny all day, and my skin never felt stripped or dry.

The gel-like texture is fast-absorbing, lightweight, and non-greasy, while the ceramide-packed formula works behind the scenes to balance oil and keep skin smooth.

And because CurÉl is on such a roll right now, I also have to shout out their Deep Moisture Spray. It’s the ultimate skin pick-me-up — a refreshing mist that delivers an instant boost of hydration whether you use it pre-makeup for a glowy base or over your finished look to revive your skin (with no smudges!).

Needless to say, CurÉl has officially nailed the balance between shine control and hydration this month — and my skin thanks them for it!

3. Simple Invisible UV Fluid SPF 50 UVA/UVB, £12.99

BuzzFeed

Little is more important in a person’s skincare routine than their SPF, and luckily for us all, Simple has seriously delivered with its brand new Invisible UV Fluid SPF 50.

This lotion is powered by Gluta-Amino™ and niacinamide to help fade dark spots, even skin tone, and improve your overall complexion — all while protecting your skin from sun damage.

Ultra-lightweight, non-greasy, and completely invisible, this product melts into the skin without a trace of white cast, resulting in a radiant, healthy-looking glow.

This SPF also doubles as the perfect makeup base and is suitable for sensitive skin, too, thanks to its fragrance-free, colour-free, and harsh-chemical-free formula. In short? Simple has done it again!

4. Belif Aqua Bomb Eye Gel, £25

BuzzFeed

Boots is really coming through with the K-beauty finds at the moment, and the Belif Aqua Bomb Eye Gel is just one of the standouts for me.

This little tube is basically your all-in-one eye care hero: it hydrates, brightens, depuffs, and smooths fine lines in a single step. The secret? A ceramic cooling tip that not only feels instantly soothing but also helps the gel absorb better while keeping application mess-free and hygienic.

Formula wise, this product is packed full of vitamin C, niacinamide, and glutathione to visibly even and brighten your under eyes, as well as caffeine that works to tackle puffiness and dark circles.

Meanwhile, type 3 collagen and adenosine work together to smooth fine lines and crow’s feet, with this eye gel pretty much all you need to look like you've actually had eight hours of sleep!

5. Biodance Radiant Vita Niacinamide Real Deep Mask, £14.90 for four

BuzzFeed

Another Korean skincare hero that is now available in Boots is Biodance’s viral hydrogel masks — and honestly, they deserve the hype. These are available in multiple formulas to target every possible skin concern, with Biodance delivering something for everyone.

Right now, my top pick is the Radiant Vita Niacinamide Mask, which tackles tone, texture, and brightness for that post-facial glow. But I’m also a big fan of the Refreshing Sea Kelp Mask, which is packed with seaweed ingredients that help calm redness and soothe stressed-out skin.

And if you didn’t know, these masks are literally designed to stay on your skin for, well, hours; you can either apply it at the end of your skincare routine and wear it overnight, or throw it on for three to four hours in the day time, until it turns transparent.

6. Lush Matcha Face Mask, £12

BuzzFeed

And if sheet masks aren’t your thing, or your simply can’t get enough of pampering your skin, Lush’s face mask lineup is so worth diving into.

The budget-friendly range is packed with natural ingredients, and offers something for every skin mood. My current obsession is the Matcha mask, which honestly feels like a skincare smoothie; in fact, it’s so fresh that it has to be kept in the fridge and used within 28 days.

Inside you’ll find antioxidant-rich spirulina and matcha to shield against environmental stressors, brightening lemon juice for a vitamin C kick, and vegan glycerine to leave skin plump and hydrated.

Other standouts for me include: Mask of Magnaminty (a holy grail for breakout-prone, congested skin), Beauty Sleep (a dreamy mask that tones, brightens, and helps you relax before bed), and Rosy Cheeks (calamine plus rose to calm redness).

Basically, Lush has a mask for literally every skin concern — and, as you can probably imagine, they all work like a charm.

7. B. Melting Cleansing Balm, from £3

BuzzFeed

And, reiterating that good skincare doesn’t have to cost a fortune, I have recently discovered Superdrug’s B. Skincare range, and its Melting Cleansing Balm that is available from just £3 is proof that it’s possible to feel luxe at any price tag.

This velvety-soft balm effortlessly melts away makeup and daily impurities, leaving your skin fresh, hydrated, and soothed with zero greasy residue. It is also enriched with shea butter to nourish while it cleanses, so your skin is left feeling soft and supple instead of stripped.

I was so pleasantly surprised by how effective this cleanser is given the price tag – especially as the oil-rich formula didn’t break me out or leave my complexion feeling congested, and it even effortlessly removed stubborn mascara, too!

Makeup:

8. Il Makiage No Filter Poreless Base Smoothing Primer, £42

BuzzFeed

On the other hand, sometimes a product really is worth the splurge, and Il Makiage’s No Filter Poreless Base Smoothing Primer is one of them.

Right off the bat, I was so impressed by how luxe the gel-like, silicone-based texture felt as it glided seamlessly onto my skin, with the silky and weightless formula actually blurring pores, fine lines, and wrinkles to give me instantly smoother skin — which, in turn, gave the rest of my makeup seriously major staying power.

In fact, after using this primer, my skin looked flawless with a soft-focus finish that lasted all day, with Il Makiage utilizing light-scattering technology to reflect away flaws for a “no filter needed” effect. It also controls shine, stands up to sweat, and works seamlessly across all skin types and tones.

I can’t stress enough that it is so rare for me to find a primer that I think actually lives up to the hype, but this one truly delivers and will definitely be a repeat purchase for me for a very long time.

9. Morphe Shapelifter Micro Contour Stick, £12

BuzzFeed

I have always loved contour, but even after years of practice, I still live in fear of that dreaded botched look of thick, harsh lines that refuse to blend and leave you with a muddy complexion. And that is exactly why Morphe’s Shapelifter Micro Contour Stick is such a game-changer.

This super-slim stick (with a built-in sharpener!) gives you the precision and control that you actually need to sculpt your look without the mess. It’s perfect for effortlessly defining cheekbones, chiseling your jawline, refining your nose, and even adding subtle lift to your lips and forehead.

The formula itself is a dream: creamy, pigmented, longwearing, and blendable — so it glides on smoothly and builds seamlessly for a natural finish.

Basically, this is a contour stick that will save you from all-too-common makeup mishaps and leave you looking like a pro in seconds.

10. Sculpted by Aimee LashLift Mascara, £20

BuzzFeed

I have also been really enjoying Sculpted by Aimee’s LashLift mascara this month, with the 252 multi-level bristle brush leaving my lashes lifted and defined without becoming clumpy or uncomfortably hardened.

In fact, the formula is so lightweight that it is easy to forget that you are even wearing mascara, but the impact is so strong that your lashes are visibly more defined after just one coat.

This product is long-lasting and smudge-free, and has genuinely become my new go-to when applying makeup.

Bodycare:

11. Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Body Wash, from £12, and Lotion, from £15

BuzzFeed

As a longtime Aromatherapy Associates devotee, it honestly felt like a dream come true when it finally expanded into shower gels and body lotions. Known as the experts in aromatherapy and essential oils, the brand has now poured that same knowledge into everyday body care, and the result is every bit as indulgent as you’d hope.

The new products are all about hydrating, uplifting, and restoring both your skin and your senses, and each formula is powered by naturally derived blends and skin-loving ingredients.

I really love the Revive Morning range, which is basically a wake-up call in a bottle, available as both a body wash and lotion. The fragrance itself is designed to energize with grapefruit, rosemary, and juniper berry delivering crisp citrus and woody notes that instantly awaken your senses.

The body wash is also infused with gently exfoliating jojoba beads, and squalane to keep your skin nourished and smooth, while the fast-absorbing lotion is enriched with hyaluronic acid for hydration, vitamin C for brightness, and vitamin E to calm and protect.

Using both of these products in tandem result in beautiful fragranced skin that is soft, supple, and deeply nourished.

The body wash and lotion is also available in the De-Stress Mind range, which has soothing notes of camomile, petitgrain, and frankincense.

Haircare:

12. Gisou Honey Gloss Ceramide Therapy Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, £25 each

BuzzFeed

Gisou has literally just announced Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as its first global brand ambassador, and it couldn't be more appropriate as its products really will leave you with model-esque tresses.

I honestly can’t get enough of the brand's new shampoo and conditioner range, which is powered by Gisou's signature fermented mirsalehi honey to nourish your hair and deliver shine, strength, and some serious hydration.

The honey-infused shampoo is made with a deep-cleansing yet hydrating formula that is designed to rebalance the scalp’s microbiome to leave your hair healthier and glossier with every wash. It is also enriched with ceramides and AHAs to gently purify and smooth, and fragranced with Gisou’s wildflower honey scent to make sure that you step out of the shower smelling completely delectable.

And, unsurprisingly, the conditioner is just as much of a treat, with the honey and silk protein detangling, strengthening, and smoothing your strands so that they look polished and feel soft to the touch, with the end result being silky, frizz-free hair with a mirror-like shine.

Personally, I was so blown away by how nourished and glossy my hair felt after using these products, with the subtle, sweet scent adding even more of a luxe finishing touch to my locks.

I also need to shout out the shampoo and conditioner’s seriously chic packaging that instantly elevates your shower shelf, with this the kind of haircare that looks as good as it feels.

13. Josh Wood Colour Miracle Hair Oil, £15

BuzzFeed

And as a self-confessed hair oil obsessive, I’ve also fallen hard for Josh Wood Colour’s Miracle Hair Oil this month, which definitely lives up to its name.

This colour-protecting formula is powered by kukui, babassu, and pracaxi oils that work together to detangle, hydrate, fight frizz, and shield against UV and pollution — basically, everything your hair could possibly ask for.

It’s also super versatile: you can use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, an overnight moisture boost, a detangler, a frizz-tamer, or even a styling refresher.

I tend to run it over my hair once I have finished styling for an instant gloss boost, and I have to rather sheepishly admit that I was genuinely distracted by how healthy and silky my hair looked throughout the day after application.

Fragrance:

14. Never Fully Dressed Eau De Parfum 002, from £19, and Candle, £39

BuzzFeed

I was so excited to discover that Never Fully Dressed has finally made the leap into fragrance — because let’s be honest, are you ever truly fully dressed without a signature scent trailing behind you?

The brand has released two perfumes, 001 and 002, each with its own personality. 001 leans musky and peppery, making it the perfect cozy companion for autumn evenings. But for August, I’ve been reaching for 002 — a sun-soaked, playful fragrance with notes of pink pepper, raspberry, jasmine, and vanilla.

Inspired by travel and the sensory memories of sun, spice, and adventure, 002 is literally golden-hour bottled; fruity and bright at first, before melting into something warm, grounding, and undeniably addictive.

Both fragrances come in a range of sizes to accommodate anybody’s budget, and if you’re the kind of person who wants your whole home to smell as good as you do, then you’ll be pleased to know that both fragrances are also available as candles.
