The Straits Times’ Malaysia bureau chief Shannon Teoh spent about 3 days in July 2025 travelling on Malaysia’s Jungle Railway. Starting from Wakaf Bharu, near the Malaysian-Thailand border, he spent hours on a train admiring the rainforests, visited a limestone cave, and ate the famous Musang King durians. He ended his trip in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan.[WATCH] I travelled the whole of Malaysia’s west coast by train (800km in 10 days)https://youtu.be/M2fv0oQYLjI[READ MORE] Riding the rails: Malaysia rediscovers allure of train travelhttps://www.straitstimes.com/multimedia/graphics/2025/09/malaysia-railway/index.html Follow The Straits Times on YouTube: https://str.sg/ytsubTurn on notifications 🔔 to stay updated.--------------------WEBSITE ➤ https://www.straitstimes.comWHATSAPP ➤ https://str.sg/whatsappTIKTOK ➤ https://www.tiktok.com/@straitstimesINSTAGRAM ➤ https://www.instagram.com/straits_timesFACEBOOK ➤ https://www.facebook.com/TheStraitsTimesTWITTER ➤ https://twitter.com/straits_timesTELEGRAM ➤ https://t.me/TheStraitsTimesPODCASTS ➤ https://str.sg/stpodcasts#straitstimes #malaysia #train #jungletrain #ktm #ktmb
